Facilities Project Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Project Analyst to join our team at Kohler. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze and recommend cost-saving opportunities within the Maintenance division to optimize resource utilization and asset management.
- Develop and implement equipment or system modifications to enhance reliability, safety, and operating efficiency.
- Design and develop new repair methods, procedures, and special equipment to improve maintenance efficiency.
- Prepare diagrams, charts, drawings, calculations, and reports to inform maintenance decisions and optimize facility operations.
- Collaborate with planners to establish Preventive Maintenance Procedures in the CMMS Maintenance system.
- Initiate engineering studies to optimize equipment and process repair times.
- Design and plan facility equipment, including chillers, boilers, air handling units, and exhaust fans.
- Support utility budgets and provide design input and project reviews.
- Prepare facility project documentation, including CAD drawings for facility and equipment-related modifications.
- Plan, design, and coordinate facility, office, and production equipment layouts for optimal operation and utilization.
- Review and estimate design costs, including equipment, installation, labor, materials, and other related expenses.
- Act as an engineering liaison with other disciplines and departments to ensure compatible processes and designs.
- Manage or assist on capital expenditure projects from design and conception to fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
- Record or report improvement opportunities to EHS when issues arise.
- Work in compliance with OH&S acts and regulations.
- Use personal protective equipment and clothing as directed by the employer.
- Report workplace hazards and dangers.
- Work in a manner required by the employer and use prescribed safety equipment.
- Employees have the following three basic rights:
- Right to refuse unsafe work.
- Right to participate in workplace health and safety activities through the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) or as a worker health and safety representative.
- Right to know or be informed about actual and potential dangers in the workplace.
- B.S. in Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent degree.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience.
- Proficiency with ACAD.
- Knowledge of electrical building codes.
- Strong background and experience in HVAC (fan systems, central plant equipment, specialized exhaust systems, clean dry air, acid exhaust systems).
- Able to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic circuitry schematics.
- Electrical degree, electrical or HVAC license or certification, and Programmable Logic Controls experience are preferred.
