Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate inspection strategies for high-precision aerospace components to ensure alignment with engineering specifications.
  • Develop and adjust CMM off-line programming utilizing Pollyworks.
  • Generate and refine output code for automated execution on designated CMMs.
  • Produce setup and instructional documentation to guide factory personnel in executing automated inspection protocols.
  • Efficiently organize and plan tasks to deliver outputs within budgetary and scheduling constraints.
  • Diagnose programming errors and collaborate with production teams to enhance automated inspection outcomes.
  • Modify and manipulate 3D models as necessary.
  • Oversee CMM programming data management within PLM software, specifically Team Center.
  • Interpret and create technical drawings as required.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical manufacturing role, such as CMM/CNC programmer, manufacturing engineer, or process planner.
  • At least 3 years of experience in CMM programming.
  • Familiarity with model-based programming in PC-DMIS or similar software, with a preference for Pollyworks.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T per ASME Y requirements.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with engineering teams and shop floor personnel.
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with SharePoint 2010 and SAP is advantageous.
  • Capability to develop and present professional correspondence.
  • Adept at navigating ambiguous situations and making informed decisions with limited information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
