Job Title: Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. As a Structural Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, stability, and durability of our construction projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough structural analysis using advanced software and tools to assess the integrity and strength of existing structures.
  • Perform forensic engineering investigations to determine the cause of structural failures, accidents, or damage, and provide recommendations for remediation.
  • Design and develop innovative and efficient structural solutions for new construction projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and other professionals to develop comprehensive structural plans and specifications.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, identify potential issues, and ensure adherence to approved plans and specifications.
  • Review and approve shop drawings, calculations, and other technical documents prepared by contractors and subcontractors.
  • Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and technical documentation to communicate findings, recommendations, and design solutions to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians, ensuring their professional development and growth.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in structural engineering, and apply this knowledge to improve project outcomes and processes.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in structural analysis, including the use of software such as SAP2000, ETABS, or similar.
  • Proven expertise in forensic engineering, with the ability to investigate and analyze structural failures and accidents.
  • Proficiency in designing and analyzing various structural systems, such as steel, concrete, and wood.
  • Solid understanding of relevant codes and standards, including but not limited to ACI, AISC, ASCE, and IBC.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and develop innovative solutions to complex structural challenges.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable, or the ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe.
