About the Benefits Manager Role


PATH is seeking an experienced Benefits Manager to lead the Benefits functional area of our Human Resources team. As a subject matter expert in benefits administration, the successful candidate will oversee the Benefits Administration system, troubleshoot issues, and set up new plans, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all EDI feeds.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Oversee Benefits Administration system, including partnering with HRIS provider to resolve issues, set up new plans, and conduct routine system audits to ensure accuracy of information.

  • Work with providers and carrier connections to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all EDI feeds, setting up new feeds as needed.

  • Oversee the workload of the Benefits team, providing training and assisting in resolving complex issues.

  • Ensure timely completion of monthly audits and reconciliations, reporting reconciliation activities to the HR Director.

  • Provide recommendations for new and revised policies and procedures.

  • Collaborate with the Leave of Absence team to oversee benefits premium collection for employees on LOA/ WC.

  • Perform quarterly FSA audits to ensure accuracy and oversee the Third Party Administrator (TPA) to ensure deliverables are met.

  • Oversee the review of 403(b) enrollments, deferrals, loan requests, and distribution requests, working with the TPA to resolve issues.

Requirements:



  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, with at least 3 years focused in benefits administration.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.

  • Mandatory requirements include employment eligibility verification, CPR/First Aid training, and successfully completing a tuberculosis test, background screening, and drug test.

  • Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, proof of insurance and ownership for personal vehicles used during work duties, and the ability to qualify for PATH's insurance coverage.
