Position Overview

As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you will be responsible for evaluating assembled components for defects and deviations from specifications.

Your role will involve examining all assigned parts against technical drawings and process documentation to ensure compliance with customer requirements.

You will conduct tests on all electrical components, utilizing tools such as ohm meters, rulers, and micrometers.

For any parts that do not meet standards, you will either return them to the assembly team for correction or designate them for disposal if they are beyond repair.


Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize both manual and automated measurement and testing instruments to ensure product quality.
  • Identify and document any non-conforming parts, maintaining inspection records using the appropriate software.
  • Inspect all incoming materials and components to verify adherence to design specifications.
  • Employ statistical process control and quality control methodologies as necessary.
  • Execute job functions in accordance with internal specifications and external regulatory requirements.
  • Adhere to safety protocols by using personal protective equipment and following safety guidelines.
  • Assist in root cause analysis for quality issues.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance product efficiency and quality.
  • Provide cross-training to colleagues based on your expertise.
  • Accurately complete all required documentation for labor tracking.
  • Communicate effectively with team members regarding operational challenges or setup issues.
  • Engage in team initiatives and support collaborative efforts.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with quality system standards.
  • Basic understanding of electrical components and testing methods.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Willingness to obtain necessary inspection certifications.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role includes an hourly wage along with additional shift differentials.

Eligible employees may also receive an annual discretionary bonus based on performance metrics.
