The Tire Technician plays a crucial role in the automotive service industry by ensuring the safety and performance of customer vehicles through tire inspection, repair, and replacement. Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate understanding and empathy towards customer tire concerns.
  • Mount and dismount tires, whether new or used.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of tire tread depth, wear patterns, valve integrity, and overall tire condition.
  • Monitor air pressure, repair punctures, and replace defective valves.
  • Utilize balancing equipment and perform wheel alignments.
  • Execute oil changes as part of routine maintenance.
  • Facilitate tire rotations and reset TPMS as necessary.
  • Conduct brake inspections to ensure vehicle safety.
  • Complete work orders and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Manage the loading, unloading, and storage of equipment as required.
  • Organize and maintain the cleanliness of the shop and equipment.
  • Provide assistance to customers and collaborate with team members as needed.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Tire Technician position should meet the following requirements:

  • Commit to performing all duties safely and responsibly.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures consistently.
  • Possess the ability to read and follow instructions accurately.
  • Demonstrate general mechanical aptitude.
  • Be capable of standing, bending, and lifting, with the ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Exhibit teamwork skills and work effectively within a group.
  • Pay attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be authorized to work in the USA and be at least 18 years old.
  • Hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to exceeding customer service expectations.
  • Be able to perform physically demanding tasks.

Work Environment:

  • Frequent lifting of over 50 pounds from ground to chest height.
  • Occasional squatting, bending, and twisting movements.
  • Extended periods of standing are required.
  • Work in an environment with varying temperatures, from extreme heat to cold.
  • Ability to perceive sound and vision accurately in a busy workshop.
  • Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and appropriate footwear.
