Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Communications Systems Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a Senior Communications Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating advanced communications systems for our military and government clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop advanced communications systems, including airborne communications systems and components
- Integrate voice, encryption, and infrastructure subsystems to meet platform mission objectives
- Collaborate with engineers and program stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and testing of communications systems
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including detailed schematics, diagrams, and specifications
- Perform informal and formal testing of subsystem requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 9 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university AND 7 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.D. AND 4 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering
- Active DoD Secret clearance that is in-scope (granted or renewed within the last 6 years)
- Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance (needed to start)
- Experience with integration of COTS electronics into military systems
- Experience with system modeling and requirements management tools (Cameo, DOORS, Rhapsody, etc.), developing/maturing requirements, and tracing requirements through various levels
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cryptographic implementations for airborne military communications subsystems
- Experience with airborne communications infrastructure and equipment
- Experience with voice, military, and network waveforms
- Experience with VoIP implementations, protocols, and equipment
- Experience with aircraft intercommunication systems (ICS)
- Experience with system modeling and requirements management tools (Cameo, DOORS, Rhapsody, etc.), developing/maturing requirements, and tracing requirements through various levels
- Experience with Earned Value Management
- Experience with supplier/subcontract management
- Active Top Secret clearance
