Job Summary

Lexington Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Patient Safety Advocate to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient safety and quality care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare staff to address patient safety concerns and other clinical issues.
  • Provide day-to-day front-line support and leadership for patient safety initiatives and maintenance of a culture of safety.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to identify and mitigate emerging patient safety risks.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote patient safety and risk reduction.
  • Participate in case reviews, investigations, and root cause analyses to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a registered nurse, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the State Board of Nursing for South Carolina.
