About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Services Liaison to join our team at Hospital for Special Surgery. As a key member of our Service Excellence team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our patients and their families receive exceptional care and support throughout their hospital experience.


As a Patient Services Liaison, you will be responsible for facilitating communication between patients, families, physicians, nurses, and other hospital personnel. You will also monitor patients' progress, provide non-medical information and assistance to waiting families, and oversee the rounding process in our Service Excellence units.


Key responsibilities will include creating a welcoming environment for patients and visitors, partnering with our interdisciplinary team to enhance the patient and family experience, evaluating patient needs and concerns, and identifying resources needed to manage current and future family/patient volume.


We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual who is able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for tracking concerns and issues, identifying trends, and providing assistance and comfort to patients' families as needed.


As a Patient Services Liaison, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients and their families. Requirements
  • 1-3 years' experience in healthcare, hospitality, or a related field
  • Ability to resolve issues through innovative problem-solving and solution development
  • Superior oral, written, and non-verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office and ability to train on internal hospital systems
  • Ability to contribute to meetings, prioritize issues, resolve conflicts, and communicate with all levels of the organization

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $39.23-$40.22, depending on experience. As a valued member of our team, you will also have access to a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) retirement plan.
