Dahl Express Service is currently seeking a dedicated Automotive Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing essential maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and other light repair services. We are also invested in your development and will assist you in progressing to a more advanced technician role if that aligns with your career aspirations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct tests to ensure systems and components are secure and functioning correctly.
- Identify systems or components that may have caused issues.
- Test drive vehicles for diagnostic purposes and check fluid levels as required.
- Verify tire pressure for proper inflation and maintain fittings through cleaning and lubrication.
- Install new oil drain plugs and filters, communicating oil levels to team members.
- Maintain high efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing and repairing vehicles.
- Proactively repair or replace worn components to prevent breakdowns.
- Utilize power tools, machine tools, and standard hand tools to complete various tasks.
- Strong understanding of automotive systems and quick diagnostic skills.
- Excellent analytical and communication abilities with a desire for continuous improvement.
- Willingness to learn new technologies, repair methods, and specifications.
- Capability to operate electronic diagnostic tools.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
