Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Automotive Parts Specialist to enhance our commercial operations. This role is pivotal in driving profitable growth through customer retention and expansion. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the General Manager to oversee team performance and ensure exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
1. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients.
2. Deliver an outstanding selling experience tailored to commercial customers.
3. Meet personal and store sales targets while achieving service objectives.
4. Provide daily supervisory support to team members.
5. Work alongside the General Manager to identify coaching and development opportunities for staff.
6. Coordinate driver dispatch to meet delivery standards.
7. Manage commercial stocking programs effectively.
8. Develop and sustain a network of secondary suppliers.

Additional Responsibilities
1. Oversee core bank and commercial returns.
2. Manage commercial credit accounts efficiently.
3. Collaborate with the General Manager to ensure adequate driver coverage.

Success Factors

- Familiarity with inventory systems and store equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive systems and parts.
- Competence in operating POS and parts lookup systems.
- ASE P2 certification or equivalent preferred.
- Advanced selling skills tailored for commercial clients.
- Ability to multitask and maintain organization.
- Effective problem-solving and listening skills.

Essential Skills for Success
- Comprehensive understanding of automotive systems, including diagnostics for engines, brakes, and electronics.
- Proficient in English (Spanish is a plus) with strong relationship-building capabilities.
- Ability to interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and parts catalogs.
- Capable of executing written and oral instructions.
- Proficient in basic math operations and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Strong organizational skills with a grasp of commercial profitability concepts.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Experience
- A minimum of three years in automotive parts sales is preferred.
- Proven track record in customer transaction fulfillment.
- Experience in team leadership and daily task supervision.

Education
- High school diploma or GED is required.

Physical Demands
This position requires frequent walking and standing, with the ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Vision abilities must include close and distance vision, color perception, and depth perception.

Work Environment
The work environment is primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor tasks. Employees may encounter various weather conditions and are occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and chemicals. The noise level is typically moderate.

Compensation
This position is eligible for sales commission based on individual or store performance.
