About the Role:

Job Summary The Imaging Records Coordinator demonstrates proficiency in clerical tasks and plays a vital role in ensuring the operational efficiency of the Imaging Department.


Minimum Job Qualifications Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED.

Minimum Experience:
One (1) year in a similar clerical role or as an Imaging Records Specialist.
Job Specific and Unique Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Proficient typing skills
Strong computer skills, adept with Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to operate office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, and scanners
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities Maintain open lines of communication with all departments within the organization as well as external partners to ensure accurate and timely retrieval of patient information and effective problem-solving.

Uphold MedSocieties' customer service standards by assisting callers or visitors comprehensively, directing them to the appropriate personnel only when necessary.

Exhibit the ability and knowledge to operate independently in various capacities within the Imaging Department Clerical/File Room, excluding transcription tasks.

Ensure patient files are accurately maintained for prompt information retrieval.
Stay current with the computer system, demonstrating the ability to input and extract information efficiently.

Responsible for initiating and completing the order entry process in the RIS system to guarantee precision in patient care delivery.

Regularly monitor PACS for necessary prior images, incomplete exams, and other relevant information.

Consistently and efficiently perform fundamental duties: Answering phones, organizing and retrieving files promptly, generating new files as required, processing faxes, creating new CDs, and assisting physicians/customers with their requests.

Maintain a tidy and organized waiting area and reading rooms, contacting housekeeping as necessary.
