Body Shop Technician

We are seeking an experienced Body Shop Technician to join our team at Hogan Transportation.
About the RoleThis is a critical position that requires a high level of skill and expertise in body shop repair, maintenance, and welding. As a Body Shop Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing damaged equipment, performing routine maintenance tasks, and ensuring that all vehicles are restored to their original state.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in truck and trailer body shop repair, with experience in fiberglass repair and paintwork. You will also need to possess excellent communication skills, as you will be working closely with other technicians and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
Responsibilities- Fault Diagnosis and Repair: Diagnose and repair damaged equipment, including tractors and trucks, using established policies and procedures.
- Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing oil, replacing filters, and conducting safety inspections.
- Paintwork and Finishing: Paint vehicles to company standards, ensuring a high-quality finish.
- Welding and Fabrication: Perform safe and meaningful welding practices, including aluminum fabrication.
- Decals and Part Replacement: Install and remove decals as necessary, and identify and replace parts as required.
- Road Testing: Road test vehicles to diagnose issues and ensure safe operation.
- Lift Operations: Raise equipment using hydraulic jacks.
- Trailer Maintenance: Inspect, repair, and maintain general trailer structural and suspension systems.
- A minimum of 4 years' experience in truck and trailer body shop repair, or equivalent apprenticeship.
- A valid CDL License (Class A or B).
- Experience in fiberglass repair, including panel repairs, straightening, and filling.
- An EPA License (as applicable).
- A High School education or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge of hand, air, and power tools used in this industry.
- Basic understanding of welding and Oxy/Acetylene cutting procedures.
- A Clean MVR record.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
