Job Description

The primary responsibility of an Auto Body Technician at Gerber Collision & Glass involves providing an exceptional customer experience through meticulous vehicle repairs. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Executing the WOW plan consistently
  2. Planning and preparing cost estimates for customers
  3. Using various tools to repair vehicle sections
  4. Hammers out dents, dimples, and other minor body damage
  5. Realigns car chassis and frames to repair structural damage
  6. Removing damaged sections and replacing them with new parts
  7. Welding and attaching parts into place

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies
  • The ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision
  • The ability to work effectively with other repairers within an auto body shop
  • A high school diploma or equivalent required
  • Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer
