About the Role

This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about working with children and want to make a difference in their community. As a Child Development Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and supervision to children aged 6 weeks to 9 years while their parents are using the facility.

You will work closely with other staff members to ensure a safe, enriching, and healthy environment for all children. This includes implementing developmentally appropriate activities, supervising children during playtime, and maintaining a clean and organized space.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise children during playtime and implement activities that promote learning and development
  • Provide high-quality care and attention to each child, including feeding, changing diapers, and administering medications as needed
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all children
  • Maintain a clean and organized space, including toys, equipment, and facilities
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure their child's needs are met
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in a childcare setting
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and move quickly and safely around the facility
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
