Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Calibrate lab equipment to ensure accurate test results
  • Conduct complex testing procedures and analyze results
  • Receive, process, and verify receipt of specimens
  • Prepare specimens for analysis and ensure accurate labeling
  • Enter data into laboratory management system
  • Clean and sterilize equipment
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have 1 year of experience performing medical laboratory tests and procedures in an acceptable clinical laboratory. You must also have one of the following qualifications:

  • Associate's degree as a medical laboratory technician
  • Completion of at least 45 semester credit hours of college coursework and a six-month medical laboratory technology training course
  • Associate degree in one of the chemical, physical, or biological sciences and 6 months of satisfactory experience in medical laboratory work
  • Completion of at least 45 semester credit hours of college coursework including 6 hours in general chemistry, 6 hours in inorganic chemistry, 12 hours in biology, and 3 hours in mathematics and 6 months of satisfactory experience in medical laboratory work
  • High school graduation or the equivalent and completion of a satisfactory combination of education and experience in an acceptable laboratory
