Food and Beverage Manager Job Description

Troon Golf is seeking a highly experienced Food and Beverage Manager to oversee all aspects of our food and beverage operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, managing inventory, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management: Supervise and control inventory levels, ensuring that all materials and supplies are properly stocked and managed.
  • Business Planning: Monitor business volume forecasts and develop plans to optimize manpower, productivity, costs, and other expenses.
  • Menu Design and Control: Administer menu design, product pricing, ordering, inventory control procedures, and end-of-month inventory.
  • Team Management: Supervise, train, and develop a high-performing team, ensuring excellent customer service and a positive work environment.
  • Customer Service: Develop relationships with members and guests to personalize and anticipate their service needs.
  • Service Standards: Manage service standards in the restaurant and bar, ensuring a high level of quality and consistency.
  • Facility Maintenance: Inspect the facility regularly to identify maintenance, repair, or clean-up needs, ensuring a safe and clean environment for customers and staff.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all equipment is in proper working order, minimizing downtime and optimizing efficiency.
  • Reporting and Requisitions: Complete reports on production and necessary requisitions, ensuring accurate and timely communication with stakeholders.
  • Supply Chain Management: Maintain par levels based on facility needs and control the distribution of necessary supplies.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Ensure that sanitation standards are consistently met, maintaining a clean and safe environment for customers and staff.
  • Menu Planning: Coordinate menu planning for all outlets with the Executive Chef, ensuring a diverse and appealing menu that meets customer expectations.
  • Training and Development: Develop ongoing training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge, driving performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Communication: Maintain regular communication with other departments to ensure that all events and needs of the property are being met.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 3-5 years of food and beverage management experience and/or training.
  • Age: Must be at least 21 years of age or older to meet age requirements for this position.
Other Qualifications:
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and POS system.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrates great customer service, strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to read and speak English required to perform the duties of the job.
