- Contract Management: Collaborate with legal and regulatory teams to establish and maintain supplier contracts.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, product development, clinical, and regulatory teams to ensure purchased devices meet specifications.
- Inventory and Supply Chain Optimization: Monitor inventory levels, coordinate logistics, and optimize procurement cycles to ensure uninterrupted supply.
- Supplier Performance Management: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supplier performance and conduct regular reviews.
- Market Research: Stay informed on market developments, new technologies, and regulatory changes impacting the medical device industry.
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline such as Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management within the medical device industry or healthcare sector, preferably within a GPO setting.
- Strong understanding of medical device regulations (FDA, ISO standards) and GPO contracting processes.
- Demonstrated experience in supplier negotiation, contract management, and cost analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
