Job Overview

Marcum Search is recruiting for a Property Accountant to join one of our clients in North Carolina.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare month-end close, project accounting, job cost reports, and external reports for all project-related accounting functions for multiple jobsites.
  • Ensure timely processing of all general day-to-day accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with property and construction managers on releasing payments to subcontractors.
  • Assist with creating new jobs with appropriate cost coding in Yardi software.
  • Set up new properties in Yardi accounting system.
  • Conduct weekly reviews of Job cost and Project Management modules to ensure all jobs are up to date.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with the Construction team to review job progress and percentage of completion.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Yardi Software required.
  • Experience in multi-family property accounting and construction/development accounting preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
