We are seeking a Senior Claims Representative to join our team in Carmel, Indiana.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate and process workers compensation claims, including investigation, direction of medical care, and timely dispensing of benefits.
  • Handle lost time and medical only claim assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Verify, research, and evaluate coverage on each claim, using discretionary judgment.
  • Make timely contact with members, injured workers, agents, providers, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
  • Conclude claim processing in accordance with company standards.
  • Provide training and act as a mentor for members and other claims personnel.
  • Complete special projects as assigned by the manager.
  • Travel to annual workers compensation conferences and/or attend educational seminars.
Requirements:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree, or certification in a business-related discipline (INS, AIC, CPCU, etc.).
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite.
  • Proven communication, interpersonal, and organization skills.
  • Proven analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Exceptional telephone demeanor.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • 5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Valid Driver's License.
Preferred:
  • AIC and/or CPCU.
