Responsibilities

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting general ledger accounting, managing month-end close activities, including the preparation of journal entries and reconciliations, conducting financial analysis, and generating ad-hoc reports as required. Additionally, this role involves preparing reports and other financial data for various healthcare sectors.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Preparation of journal entries during month-end close, focusing on revenue and expense entries.
  • Monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
  • Assisting in the creation of consolidated internal financial reports on a monthly basis.
  • Ensuring financial records comply with GAAP and company policies.
  • Resolving accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
  • Collaborating with leadership and finance teams to analyze performance and inform accruals.
  • Identifying opportunities for business enhancements and presenting findings.
  • Facilitating monthly and annual reporting, including analysis of results and variance explanations.
  • Participating in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Expert-level Excel skills, including functions and formulas such as XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, INDEXMATCH, SUMIFS, and pivot tables.
  • Experience in building models from scratch to analyze various scenarios and outcomes.
  • Ability to manipulate and interpret large datasets, ensuring data cleaning and validation.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Capacity to prioritize and manage multiple projects while adapting to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and engage with various organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated initiative, self-motivation, and ownership of responsibilities.
  • Effective project management skills, including timeline management and overcoming obstacles.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • CPA and public accounting experience preferred but not mandatory.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience in healthcare firms is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and perform at a high level under pressure.
  • A detail-oriented approach and a self-starter attitude.
Compensation

Individual compensation packages are determined based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related considerations.
