Position Summary:
The IT Procurement Manager, operating within the Vendor Management Office (VMO), plays a crucial role in overseeing the procurement and vendor management processes for IT products and services. This position is centered on acquiring high-quality IT resources at competitive rates while nurturing robust relationships with suppliers. The IT Procurement Manager collaborates with multiple departments to assess their requirements, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with vendor agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Strategy Development:
    Formulate and execute procurement strategies tailored for IT products and services. Conduct thorough market analysis to pinpoint potential suppliers and emerging trends. Establish procurement policies and procedures to uphold best practices and adherence to company standards.
  • Vendor Management:
    Identify, assess, and select vendors based on cost-effectiveness, quality, and reliability. Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers. Cultivate strong relationships with key vendors to drive continuous service improvement and cost efficiency.
  • Procurement Operations:
    Oversee the complete procurement process from requisition through to delivery. Ensure all procurement activities align with company policies and procedures. Manage the procurement budget, monitor expenses, and report on cost-saving initiatives.
  • Risk Management:
    Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT procurement and vendor relationships. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Develop and implement contingency plans to address potential supply chain disruptions.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    Engage closely with IT, finance, and other departments to understand and fulfill their procurement needs. Provide regular updates on procurement activities, performance metrics, and vendor status to senior management. Collaborate with the finance team to manage purchase orders, invoices, and payments.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
    Track and report on key performance indicators related to procurement and vendor management. Conduct evaluations of supplier performance and develop plans for improvement. Analyze procurement data to uncover cost-saving opportunities and enhance efficiency.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Identify and implement opportunities for process enhancements in procurement and vendor management. Adopt best practices and innovative solutions to boost procurement efficiency. Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in procurement and vendor management.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) are advantageous.
- Proven experience in IT procurement, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, policies, and best practices.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
