Key Responsibilities

Service Support – Acts as a backup for Service Technicians, providing coverage during absences and additional support as necessary. Temporarily fills in on routes awaiting assignment to a regular Technician.

Pest Management - Conducts inspections to identify the sources of pest activity. Delivers services for Active Pest Control residential and commercial clients. Completes exterior sealing on properties to prevent rodent and wildlife entry. Performs inspections for Wood Destroying Organisms. Drills and treats for Dry Wood and Subterranean Termites, fungi, and beetles. Installs and maintains termite control systems for clients.
Minor Construction and Repairs – Engages in light construction projects including patios, doors, eaves, walls, and floors. Assists Active Pest Control Repair Technicians with wood damage replacements.
Continuous Learning – Gains knowledge about the range of Active Pest Control products and services. Stays updated on the latest industry developments, trends, technologies, and regulations. Participates in employer-sponsored training on new methods, products, and services offered by Active Pest Control. Obtains and maintains licenses/certificates required by federal, state, and local regulations, funded by Active Pest Control.
Position Requirements
- Successfully pass pre-employment background screening
- Hold a valid driver's license and undergo a motor vehicle driving record check
- Availability to work Monday through Friday and Saturdays during peak demand periods
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Customer-facing experience preferred
Other Skills, Attributes, and Abilities
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to safely operate basic hand and power tools
- Comfortable working at heights (e.g., climbing a ladder up to 20 feet)
- Capable of lifting and carrying up to 35 lbs
- Open to learning and becoming knowledgeable about Active Pest Control products and services
- Comfortable with self-directed working conditions after a training period
