Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Technician to join our team at Electric Pump, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining a wide range of water and wastewater controls systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, repair, and troubleshoot controls systems for fluid handling products
  • Understand and apply basic PLC knowledge, including Allen Bradley software
  • Provide on-call assistance for emergency repairs and maintenance
  • Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Post-secondary or trade school education preferred
  • Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, motor controls, process instrumentation, and Windows-based control software
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Work Environment

The Controls Technician will work in a dynamic and challenging environment, with frequent travel to various locations around the state and neighboring states. The company provides a truck and company credit card for most expenses.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this job include standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds.
