Job Summary

As a Medical Unit Secretary at KPC GLOBAL MEDICAL CENTERS INC., you will provide administrative support to the nursing unit while assisting in monitoring cardiac rhythms of telemetry patients. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide secretarial support to the nursing unit, including answering phones, responding to emails, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist in monitoring cardiac rhythms of telemetry patients, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of any abnormalities.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to strict confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines.
Requirements
  • Completion of a telemetry monitoring course and post-test required.
  • Previous experience as a telemetry clerk is preferred.
  • Current BLS certification and ABM/MAB/CPI certification within 90 days of hire, with annual renewal thereafter.
  • Full command of the English language, both verbally and in writing.
  • Physical abilities, including heavy lifting and perceptive acuity, to perform all direct and indirect patient care functions.
