Position Overview
Join our dedicated team as a Patient Care Technician in the Surgical Unit at Providence Service. This role is designed for full-time professionals working 12-hour Day shifts.
The Surgical Unit is a dynamic 45-bed facility that caters to a diverse patient population, managing cases from observation to inpatient care. Our patients often include those being evaluated for stroke, experiencing chest pain, recovering from cardiac procedures, undergoing same-day surgeries, and receiving medical management. Many individuals in our care require telemetry monitoring and administration of vasoactive medications.
As a Patient Care Technician, you will operate under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, delivering essential direct patient care in accordance with unit protocols. You will be responsible for communicating vital information to the nursing staff and addressing patient care requirements promptly.
Essential Qualifications:
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Minimum of 6 months experience in acute care, psychiatric settings, or completion of the first semester of a Registered Nurse Academic Program or equivalent Nurse Assistant education
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 9 months of relevant experience
