Job Title: Land Development Manager

At DRB Group, we are seeking a highly skilled Land Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our land development team, you will be responsible for developing property and providing finished lots for home construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of new and ongoing residential communities, including working with civil engineers and planners to entitle and permit the work.
  • Solicit and evaluate bids, establish budgets and schedules, and oversee development work to ensure quality, schedule, and budget meet required standards.
  • Provide ongoing soil, erosion, and sediments control oversight and documentation.
  • Work with Homeowner Associations (HOA's) to resolve issues, attend annual HOA meetings, review and approve HOA budgets, and review and rule on Architectural Review submissions.
  • Assist in the acquisition of land for new communities and/or finished lots for building homes, including identifying potential land or lots to purchase, evaluating development and building costs, and evaluating demand, pricing, and potential market.
  • Manage the ongoing entitlement and bond requirements for owned properties, including renewing and updating permits as necessary and managing the bond release process.
  • Provide support to home building and new home sales teams, including providing HOA documents and budget information, evaluating and establishing matrices providing lot fit and lot characteristics, and providing support on all land-related questions and issues.

Qualifications:

  • High level of interpersonal skills, with the ability to professionally interact with customers, legislators, inspectors, contractors, and industry leaders.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to prioritize and function successfully with minimal direct supervision.
  • Office-level computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of state, county, and city regulations.
  • 4-6 years of experience in residential homebuilding or land development environment preferred, with a Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, or construction management, or equivalent experience.
