About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a City Carrier Assistant. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for delivering and collecting mail on foot or by vehicle under varying road and weather conditions in a prescribed area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and collect mail in a safe and efficient manner
- Maintain professional and effective public relations with customers and others
- Obtain a general familiarity with postal laws, regulations, products, and procedures commonly used
- Develop a thorough understanding of the geography of the area
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record
- Ability to lift and carry mailbags and packages
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
