About the Job
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Substitute Custodian to join our team in the Orting School District. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for students, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
  1. Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, including sweeping, dusting, mopping floors, and cleaning restrooms.
  2. Sanitizing high-touch areas, such as drinking fountains, sinks, toilets, and urinals.
  3. Operating cleaning equipment, applying floor seals and finishes, and replacing burned-out lights.
  4. Providing night security of assigned facilities and performing other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Building Administrator.

Benefits and Salary
The estimated salary for this position ranges from $23.54 to $26.68 per hour, depending on the position worked, with opportunities for benefits including medical, dental, vision, retirement, life insurance, long-term disability, and the employee assistance program. Additional benefits may include VEBA, a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA), and participation in deferred compensation/403B plans, dependent care flexible spending/health savings accounts, and additional life insurance and/or added long-term disability coverage through employee contributions.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have a High School diploma or equivalent, a valid Washington State driver's license, and reliable transportation. You should also possess the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stoop, bend, and climb to heights of 15 feet. Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently are essential for this position.
