Job Summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a skilled Biomedical Technician I to join our team. As a Biomedical Technician I, you will play a critical role in ensuring the proper functioning of medical equipment used to diagnose, treat, or rehabilitate patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and calibrations on medical equipment and instrumentation.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and electrical safety testing of clinical equipment, devices, and systems.
  • Diagnose and correct system and equipment malfunctions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation on new equipment, inspections, and equipment repairs and failures.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED or Associate's degree with no previous experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' relevant Electronic Technician experience is required.
  • Knowledge of electronic theory and skills in testing electronic equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics, or Military Training.
  • Knowledge of biomedical electrical and mechanical quantities, including blood pressure, ECG, etc.
