Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled MEP Design Engineer to join our team at Integrity Trade Services. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for assisting senior design staff in the execution of technical activities required on assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the production of designs using Revit and/or CADD with the assistance of senior design staff
  • Perform computer-based engineering calculations and system design functions
  • Coordinate project designs with other disciplines to determine equipment needs, provide input for operating procedures, and provide technical information
  • Communicate design requirements with contractors and equipment sales representatives to determine project scope and feasibility
  • Accompany senior design staff in performing project job site visits to investigate field conditions and monitor progress based on design specifications, owner expectations, and building codes
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, schematics, and engineering reports
  • Perform analysis, design, and generation of construction documents for a variety of building types
  • Report to Project Manager / PE and provide assistance as requested in the areas of construction administration / project management
  • Maintain and organize all Design Engineering related documents and schedules, along with any associated general project documents
  • Provide review of design submittals and other construction administration
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in engineering
  • Methodical approach to problem solving to undertake tasks efficiently and independently
  • Excellent written communication and attention to detail, with an ability to demonstrate accurate technical drawings and good report writing
  • Knowledge of industry specific software (i.e., Revit and AutoCAD)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Knowledge of engineering theories and methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with a range of people from subcontractors to project owners
