We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our team at MountainView Regional Medical Center.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and have a strong understanding of medical terminology and insurance procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a liaison between the hospital, patients, and/or patient's family, insurance companies, and physician's offices.
- Follow up with assigned insurance companies regarding accounts from initial billing, rebilling, and correcting as required.
- Review accounts for patient responsibility, contractual, and/or discount arrangements.
- Review and correct remittance advises, explanation of benefits from insurance companies, or any other correspondence assigned.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Some college or technical training preferred.
- Hospital or similar medical facility experience preferred.
- Ability to follow directions and perform work according to department standards when no directions are given.
- Emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress.
- Computer literate with spreadsheet and word processing applications.
- Organized, efficient, and detail-oriented.
