Job Overview

The Infrastructure Systems Manager is accountable for the overall performance and reliability of the Management Information Systems (MIS) infrastructure. This role involves overseeing various components such as servers, networking devices, operating systems, storage solutions, data integrity, virtual environments, and security measures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the optimal functioning of all MIS systems, including servers and network equipment.
  • Provide training and support to Systems personnel to enhance team capabilities.
  • Manage all systems-related activities, including task scheduling and assignments.
  • Design, configure, and maintain all MIS computer systems to meet operational needs.
  • Investigate and resolve issues within the MIS infrastructure, recommending effective recovery or repair strategies.
  • Document all aspects of MIS operations for future reference and compliance.
  • Oversee the integrity of server backup and restoration processes.
  • Establish and implement standards for workstation operating system installations.
  • Maintain monitoring software for network and system performance.
  • Conduct routine diagnostics to identify and address potential deficiencies in the MIS systems.
  • Propose and execute capital projects aimed at enhancing IT operations.
  • Foster a culture of honesty and trust within the team.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational goals.
  • Promote exceptional customer relations to enhance service delivery.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the MIS and Computer Industry.
  • Proven experience managing Microsoft Windows Systems, UNIX, Linux, and midrange operating environments.
  • Strong background in WAN and LAN equipment and software.
  • Experience with both local and cloud storage systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of Virtual Environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as required by business needs.
