Our Team

We are seeking a Respiratory Care Specialist to join our team at Isabella Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing Care. As a key member of our respiratory therapy team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to ventilator-dependent residents under the direction of our Pulmonologist.

Job Summary

This is an 1199 represented position that offers an excellent compensation and benefits package. You will work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing your expertise in all aspects of respiratory care to provide exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care for residents who are ventilator dependent or with other pulmonary needs
  • Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans under the direction of the Pulmonologist
  • Monitor and maintain equipment, ensuring optimal function and safety
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with healthcare teams
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved program for respiratory therapy (1 year program)
  • Appropriate experience in all aspects of respiratory care
  • NYS Department of Education License as a Respiratory Therapist Technician
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRTT)
  • Current BCLS certification
  • Computer skills sufficient to use EMRs, CPOE, and other relevant systems
