We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Engineer to join our team at Navy Federal Credit Union. As a Senior IT Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and guiding professional staff, applying engineering principles to design and enhance new and existing systems, and ensuring the security and integrity of system and product solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage IT projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring successful project implementation and scope of responsibility.
  • Develop and maintain expert functional knowledge of evolving IT engineering industry technologies, concepts, and trends.
  • Apply engineering principles to design and enhance new and existing systems, ensuring compliance with Navy Federal, industry engineering, and Information Security principles and practices.
  • Provide technical leadership in the architecture discipline and development of information technology solutions.
  • Present clear, organized, and concise information to all audiences through a variety of media to enable effective business decisions.
Requirements
  • Significant experience in leading, guiding, and coaching professional staff.
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering discipline, including database and presentation software skills.
  • Expert research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise initiative and use good judgment to make sound decisions.
  • Expert verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present clear and concise information to all audiences.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
Desired Qualifications
  • Mainframe, FIS Systematics, and Cloud experience.
  • Significant experience with FIS Systematics Architecture, Cobol, mainframe, CICS, Easytrieve, Assembler, Rexx, Job Control language (JCL), and ESP Scheduler.
  • Significant experience migrating from FIS Systematics to Cloud, with ServiceNow and Architecture Systems experience.
