Parts Front Counter Person

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sell products and services for truck repairs to meet customer needs
  • Maintain customer goodwill by greeting and acknowledging all customers
  • Answer customer inquiries and fulfill customer requests
  • Sell additional parts and services by recognizing opportunities to up-sell
  • Follow prescribed cash, credit, and check processing procedures of the dealership
  • Pull parts for customers and receive returns
  • Assist in keeping the parts department clean and orderly
  • Record all sales and/or customer transactions
  • Assist the Parts Manager with merchandise displays
  • Maintain the retail sale floor and displays to meet or exceed the dealership's standards and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years or more experience with heavy-duty trucks and parts
  • OEM Dealer experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of truck engines, transmissions, and rear axles
  • Knowledge of after-market vendors
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and mechanical parts
  • Proficient in relevant computer applications
  • Required language proficiency to effectively communicate with customers
