Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance of injection molding, blow molding, and packaging equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Direct and manage the activities of the maintenance department, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with the Production Manager to schedule preventative maintenance activities and ensure seamless production operations.
  • Build and lead a high-performing maintenance team that is responsible for maintaining production equipment in excellent condition, ensuring high efficiency, and maintaining proper stock of parts.
  • Oversee outside contractors performing installations and projects at our facility, ensuring timely completion and quality of work.
  • Interface with other departments to ensure customer deadlines are met and that all maintenance activities are aligned with business objectives.
  • Hire, train, coach, and review the performance of maintenance team members, working closely with HR on employee discipline issues, terminations, and recruitment.
  • Oversee safety team activities, monitor and enforce safety requirements, and ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Develop and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality, working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist maintenance team members in solving work problems.
  • Maintain accurate time and maintenance records, and develop capital equipment justifications for machine tools and process technology to improve quality, cost, and cycle times.
  • Estimate, requisition, and inspect materials to ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • 6 years of experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment.
    • 6 years of experience in a position similar to this role.
    • 4 years of experience managing people and projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment.
  • 10+ years of experience working in a position similar to this role.
  • 6 years of experience managing people and projects.

  • Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.
