Hire Resolve's client is a prominent Multi-disciplinary Engineering firm actively seeking a Lead Forensic Structural Engineer.


Key Responsibilities:


Perform forensic investigations for both residential and commercial properties to identify and analyze the causes, origins, and extent of structural failures, water damage, roofing issues, construction defects, and failures in building systems.

Evaluate and assess damages resulting from catastrophic events such as storms, hurricanes, and floods.


Conduct thorough research of technical literature and publications to support evaluations, applying engineering principles and practices in compliance with relevant codes and industry standards.

Deliver comprehensive forensic engineering reports detailing the cause and origin of damages to clients.

Oversee multiple projects, ensuring timely execution and adherence to project timelines.

Maintain regular communication with staff and clients, providing updates and timelines consistently.

Experience with premises investigations and product defect cases is advantageous.

Local travel for inspections of properties, roofs, and crawlspaces will be necessary.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a closely related field is required; a Master's Degree is preferred.

A minimum of 8 years of architectural or engineering experience, including at least one year in forensic engineering, is required.

Experience collaborating with law firms and insurance companies is preferred, along with deposition and expert testimony experience.

Strong analytical skills and field inspection capabilities are essential.

Candidates must be highly motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented.

Effective communication skills with clients and team members are necessary.

Proficiency in writing technical reports and a solid understanding of building structures are required.

Project management and supervisory experience are highly desirable.

Experience in accident reconstruction and automotive failure analysis will also be considered.

A Professional Engineer (P.E.) License is mandatory.
