Job Title: School Social Worker

We are seeking a skilled and certified School Social Worker to join our team at Soliant Education in Monrovia, MD.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide individual and group counseling to students across elementary and high school levels, develop and implement intervention strategies to address students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs, and collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to create a supportive and effective educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group counseling to students to support their mental health and well-being.
  • Develop and implement intervention strategies to address students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to create a supportive and effective educational environment.
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to students' specific needs.
  • Offer crisis intervention and support for students dealing with trauma or other significant issues.
  • Facilitate workshops and programs to promote mental health awareness and coping skills.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and progress.
Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) or Counseling (or related field).
  • Valid certification in Maryland as an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) or LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor).
  • Experience working with both elementary and high school students preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive issues with empathy and professionalism.
  • Knowledge of school-based mental health practices and interventions.
