Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at FDIHB. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by maintaining the sterility of medical instruments and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and equipment for use in surgical procedures
  • Conduct biological tests to ensure proper sterilization of equipment
  • Operate and maintain specialized equipment used in the Sterile Processing Department
  • Assist in the inventory and ordering of medical supplies and equipment
  • Participate in in-service education programs and quality assurance initiatives
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Valid American Heart Association (AHA) certification in Basic Life Support
  • Ability to obtain certification as a Central Service Technician/Sterile Processing Technician within one year of hire
  • At least three months of experience in sterile processing or completion of an accredited Sterile Processing program
Preferred Qualifications
  • Enrollment in the Navajo Nation or membership in another federally recognized Indian tribe
