Job Summary:

Ogletree Deakins is seeking a highly skilled Workplace Safety Associate to join our team in Philadelphia. As a key member of our labor and employment law practice, you will assist senior associates and shareholders on matters involving federal labor and employment laws, including the Mine Safety and Health Act and the Occupational and Safety Health Act.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assume a major role in litigation with extensive contact with client representatives and opposing counsel.
  • Conduct research and analysis on complex employment law issues.
  • Develop and implement workplace safety strategies to minimize risk and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with senior associates and shareholders to provide exceptional client service and achieve business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree and licensed to practice law in the state of employment.
  • At least 2 years of litigation experience, with MSHA/OSHA experience preferred.
  • Outstanding academic credentials and excellent analytical and writing skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
