Position Overview

The Cashier is tasked with the precise counting and documentation of cash collections across various operational routes while ensuring a secure work environment. This role also involves maintaining internal audit controls concerning cash, coin equipment, and documentation. Additionally, the Cashier is responsible for upholding a clean and safe workspace and may assist with other administrative duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately counts cash, coin, and checks on a nightly basis.
  • Posts necessary daily documentation to internal systems utilizing Microsoft Office and CONA system.
  • Responsible for reconciling cash against documentation.
  • Documents daily cash room activities, including nightly route deposit information, route variances, full-service placements, and removals.
  • Tracks driver cash variances (missing checks, cash) for audit purposes via an Excel spreadsheet.
  • Maintains cash room security and reports any related issues.
  • Conducts bi-annual checks of security systems, cameras, alarms, and cash room access.
  • Maintains internal audit controls with cash, equipment, and documentation.
  • Assists Office Coordinator(s) with setup and execution of branch stewardship activities and other administrative tasks as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Basic math and reading skills are required.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary, with a working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook preferred.
  • Must be self-motivated with a high degree of integrity and the ability to perform job duties with minimal supervision in a timely manner.
  • Preferred strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift bags of coins and other items as needed.
  • Occasional bending and lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including off shifts and holidays.
  • Optional use of a cell phone as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge acquired through 1 to 3 years of work experience.
