Crane Operator Assistant

- Assist the crane operator in the setup and operation of the crane, ensuring safe and efficient lifting of loads
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on the crane and its components, including the spreader bars, mats, and counterweights
- Load and secure equipment for transport to job sites
- Drive trucks to and from job sites, following all state and federal laws and regulations
- Obey all safety and environmental policies while performing work on the job site
- Perform duties and responsibilities as assigned by the crane operator or supervisor
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years industry experience, with 1-3 years of rigging and commercial driving experience
- Class A CDL with acceptable driving record
- Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record
- Rigger/Signalman Certifications
- AWP/Forklift Certifications
- OSHA 10
Work is normally performed on various job sites and terrain, with exposure to risk and all weather conditions. The ability to drive at night and in all weather conditions is required. The Operator must maintain constant alertness to the multiple concurrent activities of the construction site, including the activities of other employees and contractors, the operation of stationary equipment, and the movement of mobile equipment.
Physical Requirements- Prolonged periods standing, crouching, bending, climbing, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, and pulling, repetitive wrist and hand movements, hearing and seeing (depth perception and peripheral vision)

- Is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts
- Frequently exposed to fumes and airborne particles
- Must be able to safely climb various types of ladders

- Must be able to climb on and off trucks, cranes, and heavy mobile equipment safely
- Frequently walk on uneven surfaces, including natural ground in varying weather conditions
- Regular and predictable attendance is required
