We are seeking a talented Real-Time Data Ingestion Specialist to join our Amazon Firehose Team, responsible for building and operating the next-generation of a real-time data delivery and ingestion engine.

This is a unique role that requires partnering with multiple teams across AWS and 3rd party vendors to create a brand new service that numerous services depend on.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to design, develop, and deploy highly available, scalable, distributed, and secure systems using modern cloud computing paradigms, techniques, and tools.

Responsibilities">

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, developing, and deploying software applications that meet the needs of our customers.">
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of the Firehose service.">
  • Continuously learning and improving skills through mentorship, knowledge sharing, and career growth opportunities.">
  • Solving complex problems at AWS scale, working effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.">
  • Ensuring high-quality delivery of software applications by following best practices, testing, and debugging.">
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in cloud computing and software development.">
">Requirements and Qualifications">

To succeed in this role, you will need:

">
  • ">
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.">
  • 2+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including reliability and scaling.">
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.">
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.">
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical ideas clearly.">
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.">
  • Knowledge of cloud computing concepts, including scalability, availability, and security.">
  • Understanding of software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.">
