Job Summary

The Night Auditor is a part-time position responsible for balancing and closing previous business day financials, as well as completing daily financial reports. This role requires sound judgment and the ability to make independent decisions, ensuring security protocols are followed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform manager-on-duty duties during the 3rd shift, anticipating and responding to guests in a friendly and positive manner.
  • Provide the highest level of service, processing check-ins and check-outs, verifying billing, creating reservations, and processing special requests.
  • Assist guests by having knowledge of hotel property, local attractions, and hours of operation of hotel outlets and services.
  • Work independently or in a team to meet guests' needs, actively contributing to the efforts of other departments when necessary.
  • Understand and follow CSM's guest service recovery program.
  • Accountable for accurately balancing all revenue sources and completing daily financial reports.
  • Process no-show reservations, prepare financial reports for managerial review, and close the financial day for the hotel.
  • Follow proper selling techniques and ensure strategies are utilized to maximize room revenues.
  • Monitor room availability, follow restrictions, and all booking policies and procedures.
  • Drive sales and maximize revenue by up-selling rooms and amenities.
  • Responsible for proper use of all equipment and adhere to cost controls to reduce expenses and waste.
  • Produce required volume of work by planning, organizing, and prioritizing work duties.
  • After completing financial tasks, work on assigned additional projects, stocking supplies, and assisting other overnight staff as needed.
  • Adhere to CSM general work rules and department procedures, attending all required department and hotel meetings.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with CSM, brand, local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Follow all CSM procedures for guest/associate incidents, knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures.
Requirements
