Job Overview: As a Pet Care Technician at K9 Resorts of Pompano Beach, you will play a vital role in our dedication to cleanliness and compassionate animal care. This position involves engaging with our canine companions, ensuring their health and happiness. If you have a passion for dogs and are comfortable with hands-on tasks, this role is ideal for you. Daily responsibilities include maintaining clean living spaces, bathing pets, and supervising dog daycare activities. Strong communication skills, keen observation, and attention to detail are essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the mission and objectives of K9 Resorts.
- Ensure all animals receive care in accordance with company standards.
- Monitor the health and welfare of dogs in daycare and boarding.
- Maintain cleanliness of all living areas and outdoor spaces.
- Conduct health checks to identify any pre-existing conditions or injuries.
- Remain on your feet for extended periods, typically 8 hours or more.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management, including:
- Escorting dogs from daycare or boarding to their owners.
- Providing individualized playtime for dogs.
- Taking dogs outside for bathroom breaks.
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift a minimum of 20 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Availability for some weekend and holiday shifts.
- A positive, enthusiastic attitude with a strong love for dogs.
