About the Role:

As a CBRE Receptionist, you will provide administrative support to a department or office. This includes greeting visitors, answering calls, setting up meeting rooms, and other duties.

This role is part of the Workplace Experience function, responsible for delivering world-class customer service to clients and visitors of a designated building.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and direct incoming calls to the appropriate personnel and voicemail.
  • Greet clients, applicants, and visitors upon arrival, issuing visitor passes and parking validations, and following security protocols.
  • Schedule and prepare meeting and conference rooms, including room setup, catering orders, and technological equipment.
  • Perform general clerical duties, such as distributing office faxes and packages, and ordering office supplies.
  • Track incoming and outgoing packages, mail, and freight, arranging messenger service as needed.
  • Use established procedures to solve straightforward problems, exercising limited discretion.
  • Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED with up to 2 years of job-related experience.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Effective communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Basic math skills, including calculating simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
Additional Requirements:
  • HS Diploma or GED required; professional hospitality accreditations are preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of receptionist, front desk, concierge, or other hospitality experience is preferred.
  • Apply a high level of attention to detail and strong verbal and written skills.
  • Passionate about service delivery and finding satisfaction in exceeding client expectations.
  • Open and flexible work schedules.
  • Requires basic analytical skills with the ability to understand and carry out general instructions and solve problems in standard situations.
  • Comfortable meeting and engaging with new people, with a warm demeanor, being able to assess circumstances, empathize, and offer help.
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, OneNote, Outlook, etc.

Ability to work requiring significant walking or through other means of mobility, including standing in position for extended periods, reaching, bending, stooping, pushing, and/or pulling, and frequently lifting up to 40 lbs.
