Job Title: Plant Manager

Marsh Furniture Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Manager to lead our factory operations in High Point. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our production team, ensuring the highest level of quality, safety, and efficiency in our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the plant operations team to meet our SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost) goals.
  • Review and analyze quality control, production, and operational reports to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate and manage the manufacturing operations, including inventory control, manufacturing projects, cost control, work standards, and administration.
  • Consult with internal and external customers to evaluate and control quality through effective problem-solving and root cause analysis.
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to meet budget goals and associated performance metrics.
  • Actively participate in the hiring, training, retention, and development of direct reports and indirect reports.
  • Maintain a high level of accountability to achieve quality work on time and in budget.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing operations and engineering principles, with experience in the cabinet or wood-related field a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field with 7+ years of experience preferred.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate and lead people, assess, and develop those around you.
  • Experience leading a successful Lean culture with at least 4 years of experience.
  • Six Sigma Black or Green Belt accreditation or similar problem-solving training a plus.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to work with teams and lead decision-making processes in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both interpersonal and written, with strong computer skills and the ability to use common applications.
