Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Campus Safety Specialist to join our team at the City of Mason. As a key member of our public safety team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our facilities, grounds, and events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide security and safety services for Municipal facilities, grounds, and events
  • Patrol assigned areas to ensure security and safety
  • Screen visitors using magnetometers and other security equipment
  • Assist with safety planning and coordination for events
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide first aid as needed
  • Monitor security cameras and alarm systems
  • Prepare routine reports and maintain accurate records
  • Provide customer service and assistance to the public
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid Ohio driver's license required
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certification required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to the public. The successful candidate must be able to stand or sit for extended periods, walk and run when needed, and communicate professionally in-person, in writing, and other mediums.
