Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Distribution Systems Engineer to join our team at Nesco Resource. As a key member of our distribution team, you will be responsible for developing and preparing distribution voltage packages for both overhead and underground projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Prepare Distribution Voltage Packages: Create comprehensive distribution voltage packages for both overhead and underground projects, including distribution equipment installation, feeder replacement, cable replacement, and new feeder design.
  • Design and Cost Estimation: Develop and prepare design sketches, cost estimates, bill of materials, and other required deliverables to ensure project success.
  • Distribution Calculations: Perform various distribution calculations, including cable pulling, voltage drop, and pole loading calculations to ensure safe and efficient distribution systems.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Apply strong knowledge of NESC standards and utility standards, guides, specifications, and procedures to ensure compliance and adherence to industry regulations.
  • Project Research and Data Compilation: Research and compile project-related data as required by project managers to ensure accurate and timely project delivery.
  • Field Inspections: Perform field inspections for overhead and underground electric facilities on public and private utility systems to ensure compliance and adherence to industry standards.
  • Project Communication: Prepare and disseminate project communication regarding vegetation management, third-party attachments, right-of-way, and outage planning to ensure effective project coordination.
  • Reporting and Presentations: Present reports and visualizations to clients demonstrating technical results and project statuses to ensure transparency and accountability.
Requirements:
